fears the presence of a serial murderer
The appearance of the remains of four bodies in an advanced state of decomposition on a beach in Long Island, New York, makes one suspect to the police and the FBI that they could be dealing with a serial murderer.
The first of the four bodies were found Saturday by a police officer and his dog while conducting a raid in search of Shonna Gilbert, a prostitute who disappeared in May when he allegedly went to Fire Island. The other three bodies were found two days later in a radius of 400 meters
Police said the four bodies could have been left there ( a deserted stretch of road in the summer by moving thousands of people to access the beaches of Jones Beach ") for a period of about two years.
The fact that the bodies have appeared in a strip so small suggests that the authorities could deal with a serial murder. Richard Dormer, the head of Suffolk County police told the press: "We considering the question of a serial murderer ''. Dormer explained, two of the bodies were wrapped in plastic bags and were apparently thrown from a car, suggesting that women had been murdered elsewhere and their bodies subsequently transferred to the site of the gruesome discovery.
Due to the advanced state of decomposition of bodies are still the task of identification of victims.
