biomedical imaging, biomedical signal processing and telemedicine are some of the issues to be addressed in the XXVI Annual Congress of the English Society of Biomedical Engineering (CASEIB 2008), held from 15 to 17 October at the Palacio de Congresos "Conde Ansúrez" University of Valladolid. This event has become a forum for scientists, industry professionals, clinical engineers and biomedical professionals interested in learning, reviewing and discussing the hottest topics in research, education, industrial and clinical application of Biomedical Engineering.
The conference is organized by the Biomedical Engineering Group, University of Valladolid and has enjoyed the cooperation of other groups in the city related to Biomedical Engineering, as the Image Processing Laboratory of the UVa or the Division of Biomedical Engineering CARTIF Technology Center.
CASEIB2008 be the twenty-sixth edition of this congress, which means it is a scientific meeting fully consolidated in the academic and professional discipline. Also aims to be a showcase of the current state of biomedical engineering from the scientific point of view, while a suitable forum to deepen relations between the various national research groups in these disciplines and to strengthen cohesion among groups of people engaged in biomedical engineering, both academically and professionally.
