A MAN ( Metropolitan Area Network) connects multiple geographically nearby LANs (in an area of \u200b\u200babout fifty kilometers) apart at high speed. Therefore, a MAN lets two remote nodes communicate as if they were part of the same local area network.
A MAN is made switches or routers interconnected with high speed connections (Usually fiber optic cables).
