Opera yesterday announced the opening of its Opera Mobile Store and it seems that people GetJar took no notice at all well and just started what may be defined as a war of alternative application stores . "Due to violations of our terms and conditions, Opera Mini has been banned from GetJar", announced in a twett that truth is quite controversial (not to put another stronger word) and at the same time, invite you to download other browsers competitive as Bolt, UCweb, Dolphin, Layar or Sqauce.
And the truth does not seem to be no other real explanation beyond that GetJar Networks made him pay the Opera Mini browser that was allied with Appia Opera (formerly PocketGear) to launch its own app store.
Then, when someone on Twitter said wryly that "it appears that GetJar is not anti-App Store at the end" from GetJar took to respond that "we must all make a living" and in another tweet said the reason for the ban was Opera "put an application store in your browser and one thing we can do is to promote competing application stores."
And, of course is, the people of Opera also left to answer: "As we worked closely with GetJar for several years we would find a solution to still be part of the bid. Opera Mini has been one of the most popular downloads on GetJar historically, so we also believe that users are missing out on a popular application. We are talking with GetJar about the process forward. At this stage we can not confirm anything. "
